Fishermen's Socks

Knitted from the leftover wool from my cardigans and jumpers. The ribbed section is knitted in the base colour – Heather Pink, Sugar Plum or Navy Blue, with the toes and heels knitted in a second colour and the ribbed opening in a third. These are the ultimate “Make Do And Mend” item, in much the same way as the original fishermen’s socks which were knitted by the fishermen’s wives.

All colours are knitted with 10% nylon to make them more durable and to ensure they last longer for repeat wear. Perfect for keeping out the cold on a coastal walk or with clogs or sandals in autumn.
